CGLA Welcomes Kristin Givens to its Board of Directors
Cabrini Green Legal Aid is excited to announce the addition of Kristin Givens as a new Board of Directors member.

Cabrini Green Legal Aid is excited to announce the addition of Kristin Givens as a new Board of Directors member. Kristin has been Counsel at State Farm for over 15 years and brings her excitement and passion for CGLA’s mission to her service on our board.
Kristin is an experienced legislative, regulatory, and litigation attorney with a current concentration in insurance and financial services. In her capacity at State Farm, she is responsible for managing the company's public policy strategy and implementation on a regional basis. Kristin has served on the board of directors of a number of groups, and is currently an executive board member for the National Black Caucus of State Legislators Corporate Round Table (Vice Chair) and Opening Doors, LLC, (Secretary) an organization devoted to providing dance for at-risk youth.

CGLA was established in 1973 to serve legal needs arising from the lack of opportunity, criminalization of poverty, and racial inequity experienced within the Cabrini Green community. Since then, CGLA has grown beyond a single neighborhood to become a citywide, countywide, and now recognized statewide leader in supporting low-income individuals negatively impacted by the criminal justice system.
