Breanna Kantor

Breanna N. Kantor is the Director of Legal Programs at Cabrini Green Legal Aid (CGLA), where she oversees attorneys and paralegals across four practice areas: Criminal Defense, Criminal Records Relief, and Civil Programs (Family Law & Housing Law).

Breanna began her career at CGLA as a criminal defense staff attorney, serving as lead attorney for juvenile aftercare revocation proceedings and regularly representing incarcerated youth before the Illinois Prisoner Review Board. She also tried misdemeanor, felony, and delinquency cases, filed criminal records petitions for expungement and sealing, and worked with stakeholders to improve Illinois justice systems.

She has also practiced in civil rights litigation at The Cochran Firm Chicago, served as Assistant General Counsel for Chicago Public Schools, and most recently served as Director of Externships at Loyola University Chicago School of Law. Breanna is an Adjunct Professor at Loyola Law School and a member of the Board of Directors of Saint Leonard's Ministries.

During law school at the University of Southern California (USC), Breanna worked with the Post-Conviction Justice Project, where she successfully litigated a federal habeas corpus proceeding and filed Miller v. Alabama petitions for juveniles sentenced to life without parole.

Breanna earned her BA from the University of Chicago (2011) and JD from USC Gould School of Law (2014).
