Legal Internships

CGLA’s interns play an invaluable part in our collective work towards removing barriers to equity in the criminal legal system.  Our internships are all a minimum of 10 weeks long, and occur in Spring, Summer, and Fall seasons. All our internship applications are posted on our Careers tab via BambooHR and will appear below. All our internships are unpaid, but we are committed to working with our interns to support them in securing external funding or externship credit for their time with CGLA. At times, we have legal internship opportunities for undergraduate students, or people who aren’t students. We will indicate in application postings when that is the case.

Spring Internships: January - May

  • Require a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week.

  • Applications usually open in October.

  • We have one PILI grant to offer an intern in the Spring. Applicants interested in the PILI grant must apply through PILI.
