Invest in giving justice a voice
It is with a heavy heart that we share the death of Miles Thompson, the 18-year-old son of CGLA Board Member and longtime supporter Laurie Cooper.
On July 8 Miles’ young life was senselessly cut short by gun violence. He was a loving son and brother, was a 2020 graduate of Glenbrook North High School where he played football, and had earned a football scholarship at St. Ambrose University in Iowa. He will be forever missed.
His family is requesting any donation in his name be directed to CGLA. To donate in the memory of Miles please select the "In memory of" option in the "I'm donating in the name of" section and type his name in the "Organization\ Honoree name" text box. Please contact Dana Pownall danapownall@cgla with any questions.
This support enables CGLA to provide access to justice…a SECOND CHANCE…for thousands who have been impacted by the criminal justice system and have nowhere else to turn for help with their legal crises. When employment barriers or housing conditions endanger a client’s health and safety or denies them their rightful access to employment and housing, CGLA is often the last ray of hope.
